1. Eligibility
- Participants must be 8–18 years old as of the tournament season year.
- All players under 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.
- Age divisions are determined by birthdate and posted on the WJGT website.
2. Membership & Fees
- Annual membership fees and tournament entry fees are non-transferable.
- Fees must be paid in full before participation is confirmed.
- Certain promotional credits (scholarships, referral bonuses, tournament credits) may apply and will be reflected in your account.
3. Refund Policy
Membership Fees: Non-refundable once registration is processed.
Tournament Fees: Refunds are granted only if:
- Withdrawal occurs at least 7 days prior to the event start date (minus a processing fee), or
- The event is canceled by WJGT due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
No refunds for withdrawals inside 7 days of an event.
4. Code of Conduct
All players are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, honesty, and respect. Violations may result in warnings, penalties, or disqualification. Examples include:
- Unsportsmanlike conduct (verbal abuse, club throwing, cheating).
- Disrespecting officials, staff, or other players.
- Repeated failure to follow WJGT rules or guidelines.
5. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
Golf is an outdoor sport that carries certain inherent risks (errant shots, physical exertion). By registering, parents/guardians acknowledge and agree that:
- WJGT, its staff, partners, and host facilities are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during participation.
- Parents/guardians assume full responsibility for their child's safety and medical care.
- In case of injury, WJGT staff may seek emergency medical assistance at the parent's expense.
6. Media Release
By registering a junior participant, both the parent or legal guardian and the junior participant affirmatively acknowledge and agree to the WJGT Photo, Video, and Media Release via separate one-time checkbox consent.
Parents and participants grant WJGT the irrevocable right to capture and use the participant's name, image, voice, likeness, and performance in photographs, video, audio, and other media for tournament operations, leaderboards, websites, social media, marketing, promotional, and educational purposes.
All media is the sole property of WJGT. No compensation will be provided. WJGT and its affiliates are released from all claims arising from the use of such media, including claims related to privacy, publicity, or emotional distress.
Media may be displayed on third-party platforms subject to their terms. WJGT is not responsible for third-party use or redistribution.
This Media Release is governed by and must be read in conjunction with the WJGT Photo, Video, and Media Release and Privacy Policy, and complies with COPPA.
7. Privacy & COPPA Compliance
- WJGT complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Parents/guardians must create accounts and provide consent for any child under 13.
- WJGT collects only the information necessary for tournament participation and leaderboard display.
- Personal information will not be shared with third parties, except as required for payment processing or event operations.
8. Video Submission Policy
Parents/legal guardians may submit links to third-party hosted videos (such as YouTube) for display on WJGT leaderboards.
By submitting a video link, parents confirm:
- They are the parent/legal guardian of the player.
- They consent to WJGT displaying the submitted video link publicly.
- They understand that the video is hosted on a third-party platform (e.g., YouTube), and WJGT is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those platforms.
Parents may request removal of a submitted video link at any time by contacting WJGT.
9. Tournament Rules
- All events are conducted under USGA Rules of Golf, supplemented by WJGT local rules.
- Decisions by tournament officials are final.
10. Changes & Updates
WJGT reserves the right to:
- Update schedules, fees, and policies as necessary.
- Cancel, postpone, or reschedule tournaments due to weather, facility issues, or other circumstances.
11. Acceptance
By completing registration, the parent/guardian confirms:
- They have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
- They accept responsibility for their child's conduct and compliance with WJGT policies.
