The World Junior Golf Tour (WJGT) values the safety and privacy of every player. Because many of our members are under 13, we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Here's what that means for your family, explained in plain language.
What Information We Collect
- Player name, age, and division
- Parent/guardian contact information (name, email, phone, payment info)
- Tournament scores and rankings (these are public)
- Videos or documents for age verification (kept private, not shared)
How We Use It
- To register your child for memberships and tournaments
- To confirm age eligibility
- To show scores and leaderboards
- To contact you (the parent/guardian) about events
- To improve our programs
Your Consent
- We do not allow children under 13 to sign up directly.
- A parent or guardian must complete registration.
- By registering your child, you give consent for us to collect and use their info for WJGT purposes.
Your Rights as a Parent
- You can ask us what information we have about your child.
- You can request that we delete your child's information.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Video Links (e.g., YouTube)
- Parents may submit video links (such as YouTube) to display on leaderboards.
- By submitting a link, you confirm you are the parent/guardian and approve its use.
- We only display the link; the video is hosted on a third-party site, which has its own privacy rules.
- You may request removal of a video link at any time.
Our Promise
- We will never sell your child's personal information.
- We keep sensitive info (like birth certificates or video submissions) secure.
- We only collect what is needed to run tournaments and leaderboards safely.
